Being Trauma Aware: Making a difference in the lives of children and youth” is now available for free online.

This trauma-informed training program provides foundational knowledge essential to those working directly with children and youth, including social workers, teachers, police officers, doctors, sport coaches, etc.

“Being Trauma Aware” is a two-and-a-half-hour online program to teach practitioners how to provide improved support for those impacted by violence and abuse, ultimately creating a common language for all.

The development of this new program was funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) and developed in collaboration with the Alberta Ministries of Health, Children’s Services, Education and Justice & Solicitor General, the University of Calgary, the Zebra Child Protection Centre, the Palix foundation, the Canadian Mental Health association, and the Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse and Addiction.

We’re hoping to unite our community around a common mission: to work toward the day when no child or youth is abused. We’re honoured to have found such a wonderful partner in Hillberg & Berk to stand with us against abuse in all its forms.
