Who Is Involved In The Assessment?
Assessments are completed in collaboration with Children’s Services, Calgary Police Service, the RCMP and the Alberta Health Services Medical Team.

Role of Children's Services
Children’s Services’ role is to work with children and families to build on their strengths, keep children safe and ensure children grow up in safe and nurturing homes.

Information Sharing
Critical and relevant information sharing occurs on an everyday basis between our partner organizations.
By working together, our team is able to provide:
- a coordinated, consistent and timely response for children and families who have been affected by severe and complex cases of child abuse.
Ensuring
Safety
Once an assessment has been completed, Children’s Services can provide various levels of support to the child and their family.
These supports can range from:
- Early intervention
- Brief services
- Family enhancement
- In care status (when necessary)
